Orientation Overview

While your student is gearing up for O-Week, we want parents and families to know that there are planned activities for you as well. During the Saturday and Sunday of Orientation week, the College plans a number of events for parents to provide information and resources that will be helpful throughout your student's time in the College. Below you will find an outlined schedule of the first two days of Orientation to help you when planning your trip to campus. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us. Parents will be able to download our Orientation App in September and will receive a copy of our Family O-Book when your student checks-in for Orientation. Both will contain full details of all events.

We are invested in supporting the transition into the College, University, and Chicago community and to help make the adjustment as smooth as possible.  For the incoming class. beginning the spring after acceptance, we have been working to create an inclusive community through information, education, and embedded learning activities that promote 21st Century Literacies. With the class of 2021, we have expanded the range of voluntary activities to include games that encourage community building and connection.
